Apologies, dear fandom. I've been ill, on deadlines, and other assorted chaos that masquerades as Life to distract one from the Interweb.
But hey, there is Sherlock candy for us all, so I'm back in time, so to speak. Better'n cake, yes?
Amused... everyone from Variety to Tor Books are talking (Tweeting) about the new BBC Sherlock trailer. Have you seen it yet? Actually, there are TWO trailers.
This is the teeny 10-second vid... because the 1:30 [that's minute and seconds, sorry!] trailer follows the cut.

OTOH, you can rest assured that since I didn't see either til today, we're all frazzled.
The stage is set. The curtain rises. We are ready to begin... #221Back #Sherlock

SPOILERS in Mark Gatiss's Irish history / filming the Christmas 2015 Sherlock special. No, really, that's what Radio Times says, and odds are they are NOT joking. Read at your own peril.
Confirmed (at last!) - the #Sherlock special will air at Christmas time: http://t.co/GQpmHfptkJ pic.twitter.com/ZYePiefYxW

For those who read canon as well, Mark reveals what year the tale is set in. This should cause uprisings in some as it was NOT a good year for Mister Sherlock Holmes, nor the original fandom either.
Including Tor.com's piece -- the trailer's there too, in case you can't get the embedded link to work -- because it's got a great picture of period!John there. :D
