May: spoilers, setlock, etc.

Several Hamlets battle it out!  Here's a vid of them that I hope you can see.

Amanda notes in passing at Radio Times that filming s4 "will start in April" (the article is about her Tweeting, Martin's thoughts, and her new show Cuffs as well).

Everything else has spoilers to one extent or another and is about the Special.

Sherlock stars Abbington and Freeman receive death threats in Cumberbatch Twitter storm... death threats from a bunch of people who are fools, because if you cannot criticize someone else without threats, there is something severely wrong.

Bad cess to the fools threatening not just Amanda and Martin, but also Tim Roberts; he lost his job.

Film and stage Tweets come after the cut.

Tweets onstage and elsewhere. :D

I'll do a future post about NTL airing Hamlet for all of us what can't make it to London... later.  I promise.  Apologies for being gone -- two cons, new gig, car woes -- things have been crazy-busy.  Cumberhugs to you all!

Fannish Friday...

... Or, I have an eyeball.

Went to first day of Media*West yesterday.  This is a local fan-run con [ETA with their FAQ for your info], no guests, just fans.  It's lovely.

Panels on BBC Sherlock, tiny fandoms, audio goodies (run by my boyfriend -- about podcasts, BBC Radio 4, etc.), Benedict Cumberbatch, and also the Sherlock party.

At the latter we played Cards Against Humanity, the Sherlock version.  Much hilarity and rudeness!

The hostess at the party brought me a [lavender] tumbler of water that had an eyeball in it.  Which I got to keep.

Frankenstein: NTL encore!

For this week, you can find more encore screenings of the National Theatre Live's Frankenstein.  With Benedict and Jonny Lee Miller as, respectively, the Creature or Victor each night.

Possibly longer, but be sure to check!

This may be just in North America, so check your area.

FYI, the show came out in 2011 and will probably not be on DVD.  But the NTL has done encore screenings more than once now.  So have hope!

Last November one of my Tweeps got to see the show, both versions; see the link for her review.  :D

TIFF 2014; and that auction!

From RDJ to Cumberbatch, the stars headed to TIFF 2014...where TIFF aired The Imitation Game, which comes out 21-November-2014.

Ben stars as Alan Turing.  Videos of Ben and Keira Knightley are at CBC News.

Plus TIFF is where Ben promptly melted down the Internet per HuffPo Canada.

Lovely TIFF, from which we get such great pics of Ben via Cumberbatchweb.

Alas, because TIFF means Ben's working the whole time -- interviews are work -- there's this problem... TIFF 2014: Benedict Cumberbatch wishes he could see more of Toronto.  I wish he could too!

Interviews Martin, Rupert -- Babes' s4 predictions.

Let's talk about Martin.  These are all 2014 interviews.  Expect s3, Richard III, Fargo, and Gollum.  Because all those go together... okay, maybe not.

If you haven't read Martin's Shakespeare invented Gollum interview over at the Telegraph, you should.

Mark Gatiss interviews Martin Freeman at Radio Times.

As for Sherlock s4, remember not to trust what our friendly writer =cough= trolls say, despite things like this at the Telegraph (s3 spoilers in link and title).  Wait until we're in setlock.

So, about Hamlet selling out--!

Barbican Hamlet website.  Remember that although they are sold out, some tickets will become available, so keep an eye on that site and their FB page.

They sold out on 11-August-2014, going by their FB.

But the £10 tickets will still be available in 2015.  That's 100 tickets for each performance, including a surcharge, per their official box office site.
