Two fan vids; shipping in OED--!

I haven't posted a fan vid in forever, seems like.

Feels for s3, s2, and s1... also spoilers, if you haven't seen all of s3 yet.  I'm thinking you probably have, but just in case, treat both vids as spoilers!

S3 speculation, shipping, fic...

Includes S3 spoilers!

Some January 2014 speculation on His Last Vow before it came out.

AU Sherlock fic Hitting the Water at Sixty Miles an Hour by what_alchemy, set before s3 came out, but occurring after Sherlock returns.  Very well written.  Features Mummy Holmes.

More s3 shipping from The Empty Hearse, via tumblr.

Grab-bag: All sorts of things.

Ooooh, more Study in Pink speculation!

Poor Mycroft.  It really was not a shining moment for the Holmes brothers, was it?  Never try to outdo your brother... either brother!  It never ends well.

"Sibling rivalry... now we're getting somewhere."

Missing John Watson?  Here's a link to some promo s1 pics of Martin as John.  8)

Buzzfeed interview's title is misleading, as it has very little about Benedict; but if you're interested in what's behind the writing of the Turing biopic, you'll be fascinated.  I was.

And here's more lovely promo pics of s3 via deareje (and Lokke)!

The Empty Hearse.

The Empty Hearse as per John Watson's blog.

Mr. and Mrs. Holmes... are played by Benedict's own real parents.  8)

And SH is of course typically Sherlock to them, but I digress.

It's always Mycroft. Isn't it?

If not, it should be.  8)

Spoiler zone for s3! and very probably s4, particularly if you aren't up on ACD canon.  Also the pastiches.

Radio Times does the stats on s3 for breaking the Twitter record; beware, their title is a spoiler!

These are metas on HLV, and predictions for the ep via a master post at knackorcraft.  (I am so glad many of the Mycroftian worries did not come to pass.  Also, I didn't feel worried about Mycroft, I was worried about our other Ms.)

Bonus news:  Cabin Pressure was nominated for two BBC Audio Drama Awards!

And the BBC is urging Team Sherlock to push for Sherlock s4... to air Christmas 2014.

Three last tastes of December 2013!

Because it's the holidays... sweets to the sweetest fandom around!

Mycroft reading to baby Sherlock by the great mystradedoodles.  Isn't this adorable??

Cumbercupcake of Ben in his red velvet with baby Smaug (from #AskSmaug) by delightfully.  8)

In case you hadn't seen any new s3 pics of Sherlock and John, here are several at The Scottish Daily Express.  Probable spoilers if you read that article!

Happy New Year -- see you all soon.

When Sherlock and John will wreck us again.  Won't they?  Grab your tissues, your shock blankets, and make sure to have plenty to hydrate with.  I'm sure Team Sherlock will make us need it!

Mystrade; John's blog; spec or spoilers?

Need something to distract you -- or feed your SH obsession?  What about the classic fics?

Like the fantastic Mystrade by kazvl.  This particular installment is a) brilliant b) involves angles of something you've seen in s1 c) is as always, amazingly written.  I do not ship; but her writing carries me off.

In fact, I treat this series (Fire and Ice) as an alternate universe of our SH universe.  Which I adore.  Anyone who can make me suspend my belief that way for an AU is spectacular.

And have you checked up on John's blog lately?  Because it's been updated.  If you read nothing else, read his last blog post for Many Happy Returns.

Of course, if you want a teeny bit of possible spoiler for s3, there's Twitter RP with CAM...

Or you could get lost in the Final Problem tumblr (what fangirls do).

A few MANY things about s3.

Various sources... say that the BBC will air the Sherlock mini-ep online.  Check BBC America and the BBC iPlayer and whatever BBC you have.

Alternately, find you a site that promises, as this one does -- warning, lots of S3 pics, possible spoilers! -- to share YT links as soon as they hit!

So far I haven't heard anything about PBS airing the SH mini ep.  Odds are it is very short.  Perfect for YT, eh?

Xmas 2013: Sherlock mini ep!

Chinese fans' nicknames for Sherlock and John via Radio Times.

Sherlock mini episode to air on Christmas Day via BBC Red Button.  FYI:  It's called "Many Happy Returns" too and is said to include John but not Sherlock.

I don't have all the info for the mini ep, but allegedly non-BBC subscribers can access Red Button.  (Yes, I Tweeted @anglophenia, so hopefully we'll know soon.  Fingers crossed!)

And the BBC has an interactive trailer for Sherlock now!  Be warned:  The Daily Mail has an article about the trailer -- which includes spoilers and spoiler pics!

Batch with some SH and Mystrade.

Casebook moments...

Cumberbatched on stage, Tweet here.  Isn't Ben lovely in this costume!

Julian Batch.  Because reasons.  Via official movie Twitter account here.

And because I just knew you were missing Mystrade, have a little family-friendly image here via the always fantastic mystradedoodles. 8)

More setlock. Because.

Level of setlock varies.

The Woman texts Sherlock:  I like your silly hat.  Let's have dinner.

Probably she wouldn't care for him to attend like this, however.  Nice smirk, Sherlock!

A little more of Sherlock here and there.  In costume, Martin admiring [or is he??] Ben's blue suit.

Definitely spoiler potential for ep1 of s3, with JM!  And doesn't Mycroft look lovely here?

=ahems=

Some April 2013 setlock for ep2.  The tumblr photoset from deareje shows both Ben and Martin in tails.  8)

Mildly in setlock category, since this is posted officially:  Some characters/actors listed, including MM and this gentleman for ep2.

More Batched, naturally.

Such a beautiful smile Ben's got, doesn't he!

A moment for handsome Mycroft.

More Cumberbatched:  Good night, Twitter.  Smiling Ben in shades and suspenders (monochrome).  JulianBatch photo set.  Ben talking about Shakespeare and being beautiful.

EW taking a hard line on fans "not" making the box office for The Fifth Estate.  Really?  We had how many movies to pick -- not even counting how many Ben alone is in! -- and you write this.  Srsly.  (Yeah, eye rolling, not even reading it, sorry/not sorry.)

Here's a quote/photo set from TFE.

Recent s3 news!

Two sides of the coin:  The official BBC image for Sherlock s3.  Then The Woman's interpretation of same.

Well, three -- here is the view from the other side.  I believe this would count as setlock, wouldn't it?

Here's the press release/news about the first official image, with some bitty spoilers, from Hartwood Films.

Thoughts about Mycroft on Guy Fawkes Day, Bonfire Day, in Sherlock: Gunpowder, Mycroft and Plot.

And oh!  The lucky sods in London will get not only a premiere of s3e1 next month, BUT they also get a question-and-answer session with some of the cast!!!

So 15-December-2013 will be a big HUGE day in Sherlock fandom.

I wonder if that means the UK will get to see all of s3 before New Year's Day?  We still don't know, the BBC has not yet announced airdates.

A rainy day in October: a fic reply.

I woke up.  I was trembling.  Well, I say trembling.

Was it my own breathing that woke me?  No; it was the echoes.  I could still hear my own voice, which was repeating, 'John.  John!'

He wasn't there.  He didn't come to me, he didn't hear me, he wasn't-- I stopped myself.  My mobile was already in my hands.  It barely rang.

I said into it, 'Mycroft--'

'Yes, Sherlock?  Everything is fine.'  There was a slight emphasis to the words.  All of them.

'John... he...' I couldn't continue.  Both of us ignored my harsh breathing, too loud.

'John is fine. I had a team on him.'  Mycroft paused.  'I noticed a "homeless man" as well--'

I could hear the word 'alleged' and ignored it.  Just as I always ignore things that are unimportant.  Trivia.
