Late May into June: setlock.

And here's Ruther's storify, part 8 and part 9, which ends May setlock.

(His part 10 storify just began on 5-June-2016, and yeah, I began this post around then!)

Part 11 is up -- and apparently so is part 16!  Yes, you read that right.  Here's part 12, part 13, part 14, and part 15.

I have not read them all (I just began reading 12, in fact).  I can't speak for the goodies you'll find inside.  So I'm about a week behind on setlock for now.  :b

For those of you keeping track of birthdays, Benedict's is 19-July.  I have some of Team Sherlock's birthdays scattered around the blog here, but nothing too current, I'm afraid.  Apologies.

May: spoilers, setlock, etc.

Several Hamlets battle it out!  Here's a vid of them that I hope you can see.

Loo Brealey on playing Molly via Final Problem.

Beryl Vertue got her CBE (and Arwel points out that they're in the background of the unaired pilot together).

Sherlockology's Doctor Strange primer.  (I know it comes out this fall, and that Ben's the star, but otherwise it's not my cuppa, which is why I haven't covered DS much.)

April: mixed bag.

A variety of stuff today -- from speculation on s4 (thanks, Final Problem!) and the 2016 Special ep to Twitter and a fic.  And Mark's award!

Fic written by A Study in Punk, one of the very best Sherlock RP players on Twitter:  "Deus Ex Machina" -- not what you think.

AND Mark won an Olivier!

Final Problem gives you her spoiler policy, which is pretty thorough -- and describes how to block tags on tumblr.  And since that's possibly why you're here, for spoilers...

More meta on s3, bit of s4.

I can't be the only one still hungry for speculation... right?   A few of the tumblr users -- whose meta I loved -- have gone dormant.  Final Problem said she's reluctantly speculating, but if you're watching her Moran posts, it looks like that's changed.  :)

About that missing actor's name [from Empty Hearse] and was his character apprehended -- or not?

And why wasn't he credited?  And... and... that elevator button.

(For more, use FP's tag; here's her original LONG intro-meta on Moran .)

Some HLV speculation about something I'd been wondering about, i.e, recreational meta from Three Patch Podcast.  Very pleased someone else had thought it through!

SH candy: Meta of s4 and s3.

Were you following the SH Spesh setlock when it got really spoilery?

No, I mean that, there's a point -- circa 30-Jan-15 as well as later -- when that happened.  It's possible these were done to fake us out.  But they looked like rather major plot spoilers.

Final Problem discussed this item at length here.

And cupidford has a visual compare/contrast to FP's post.

Before setlock, BTW... this always happens.  :D

Ask Benedict, Hollow Crown, etc.

Today #AskBenedict will be going on.  In under 6 hours.

From Turing to Sherlocked.

If you sorrow for not getting the Sherlocked convention in your country/region... this is my answer to why it's only in Europe and America.  I'm sorry, my dears, but it comes down to numbers.

The higher amount of fans are in two places first.  Yes, I know and you know that certain countries have HUGE fan bases.  And matching populations.

Sherlock fandom is worldwide, sure -- but we're not concentrated everywhere.  In America and Europe are where conventions will be first.

Watch the Sherlocked FB page for regular updates.

PBS: stream s3!

This may only for the USA -- sorry if that's so! -- but be sure to confirm it first.  Go try the links, do.

Because it's been announced on the PBS tumblr and Twitter; also Netflix, Apple TV, Roku, and mobile devices.

PBS is giving its viewership the gift of Sherlock s3.  For free.  Stream the 2014 episodes up through 25-Sept-2014.

S3 speculation, shipping, fic...

Includes S3 spoilers!

Some January 2014 speculation on His Last Vow before it came out.

AU Sherlock fic Hitting the Water at Sixty Miles an Hour by what_alchemy, set before s3 came out, but occurring after Sherlock returns.  Very well written.  Features Mummy Holmes.

More s3 shipping from The Empty Hearse, via tumblr.

LFCC, 2014 Emmy list, s3...

ETA:  Radio Times is doing a TV Champions poll.  Right now is the Finals -- it's Benedict against David Tennant.
Really close; do be sure to vote before 6-August-14!

Did you want to see all the 2014 Emmy nominations Sherlock got?

A video from the London Film and Comic Con 2014 that includes Sue, Mark, and Steven.  Possibly has spoilers, but knowing them, probably just teasers.  This is a preview of the Sherlocked convention also.  8)

Saturday is Ben's birthday...

And I won't be online.

So if you are -- and I'm hoping you are for a bit -- please make sure to check out all the charities sponsored in Ben's name.

Batch of Kindness is on 19-July in particular because Ben asked us to share with others.  The Cumbercollective is definitely stepping up to the plate as requested; we have a brilliant and generous fandom.

Many clever thoughts on s2 and s3.

Speculation on s3 AND s2.  So if you haven't seen s3, skip this.  Theories by the incomparable Final Problem on tumblr.

These are NOT all one-ep links, so read them at your peril.  They will often discuss multiple issues for different episodes.

Down the rabbit hole!

BBC and s3 spoilers.

A really cool Cabin Pressure poster off tumblr.

Benedict is the voice of Rumpole of Rumpole of the Bailey for BBC 4 -- and they have episode one airing for the next 4-5 days only.  Rumpole and the Old Boy Net it's called.

Twittery visual spoilers.

Say it with me:  SPOILERS!

I lied.  Of course we can have another post completely of Tweets showcasing s3!

Because "it's what you like--"

This post in a nutshell:  Oscars 2014, BBC Sherlock, Cabin Pressure, COSI.  Not in that order.

Den of Geek, bless 'em, point out that (just possibly) s3 IS what we like! in Sherlock, Shark-jumping, and the Casual Viewer.  Beware s3 spoilers.

I would tend to agree.  It's been an awesome series.  Even with the gripes I have for Some Things.  8)

He's got a new box.

Major SPOILERS for s3.

For that to make sense, you need to read this amazing and insightful essay about Sherlock, John, and s3 by acafanmom.  Brilliant.

Done that?  Okay.

Counterbatch, cosplay, deductions...

BBC America's recap of The Sign of Three.  Yep, spoilers.

Red's version -- sideways spoilers for Sign, trust me -- of PBS Counterbatch...  Via SherlockStuff's tumblr which is VERY spoilery for All Things s3.

The Empty Hearse.

The Empty Hearse as per John Watson's blog.

Mr. and Mrs. Holmes... are played by Benedict's own real parents.  8)

And SH is of course typically Sherlock to them, but I digress.

S3 spoilers, The Network, swag: oh my!

Spoiler season not over yet:  S3 spoilers... everywhere!

Today's post is primarily brought to you by our friends at Sherlockology.

Yes, the BBC Shop has got Sherlock swag for you, but there are s3 spoilers, so avoid if you haven't seen any of s3 yet!

Correction! 9.58pm, not 10pm for PBS.

I didn't remember to update this earlier -- sorry!  I was watching PBS last week, waiting for Sherlock to air, and didn't know why it was showing... early.

PBS is showing each s3 episode at 9.58pm ET
Sunday 19-Jan-2014
Sunday 26-Jan-2014
Sunday 2-Feb-2014

They're also playing a Twitter game during the show, from 9.58-10:30pm, so check out WGBH to find out more.  Hashtag #SherlockPBS.

So make sure if you're taping it that you tape earlier.  Please do your best to watch the show or tape it on PBS, because the more American watchers, the more PBS will know how much we adore Sherlock and do their damnedest to get s4 for us!

And maybe, just maybe, PBS can persuade the BBC to let us watch at the same time, eh?

Pssst!  PBS was impressed with how many fans turned out on 19-Jan to see The Empty Hearse.  Record high:  4 million, 25% more than for the premiere of s2.  Go fandom go!!!
