Vote for BC, etc.

Voting for TV.com's Best of 2012 -- for Benedict as Best Dramatic Actor and Sherlock as Best Dramatic Show -- goes until the New Year.  Be sure to vote!

Cheer up!  Benedict on the future of Sherlock.

Mostly but not all Cumberbatch.

Benedict Cumberbatch:  Elle's Man of the Week.  On the future of Sherlock.

From 'Sherlock' to 'Star Trek' for Cumberbatch.  Benedict's awards (and nominations) in 2012.

Cumberbatched:  Backstage at Cabin Pressure.  As Martin Crieff.

Down in the spoiler zone of season 2...

Fan art, or a moment we didn't see in Baskerville.  :D  Holiday Sherlock!  In the Palace.

A really cute fic of Sherlock and Mycroft as kids.  Found via speculation about Mycroft's ring.

And if you're still trying to persuade someone to watch Sherlock, here's a LOT of critics who are just as Sherlocked as can be.

Moriarty's ringtone {parody} (by Jim Moriarty, of course).  Enjoy!  Both EXCELLENT and wicked funny.

Unscheduled break in programming! :(

Sorry to have vanished this past week.  Went and got ill.  :/

Think I'll be catching up soon.  Don't know.  Longing for sleep and finding it elusive.

Hope you've all been dazzled by visions of hobbitses and Star Trek.  Cumberhugs!

The Hobbit, Trek, Sherlock Xmas.

Fan art:  Do not play with Moriarty.  He WILL outplay you.  A bit of silly Sherlock, aka pirate lock.

It's either The Hobbit or Star Trek, if not both, burning up the Internet.  So... let's go with Martin first, shall we?  Jump into the spoiler zone for both films (and season 2 of Sherlock):

More images and funnies; thence to Star Trek!

Fan art

Sherlock Facts: an ingredient list.  Also a pretty funny shipping drawing [and accompanying dialog by the participants].

Sherkitty!  Another Sherkitty.

Sherlock, why...  Walking in the dark.  If the guys had done THIS at the Pool instead.  Hamish and the other kids.

Cumberbatched:  Dapper Ben, dark suit, very classy.  Ahhh, that smile!  Fandom seeing Sherlock.  ;)  Smiling in Japan.  Same outfit as last, looking almost solemn.  Different pose and great expression.  :D

Cumberbatched and Hobbited (well, sort of).  Gag reel from recent Cabin Pressure recording (no spoilers) that's a RIOT.  Must find CP myself, clearly!

Sunday, December 2, 2012

Almost all fan art; also speculation.

Fan art:  Merry Christmas from Sherlock and John!  What young Mycroft asked Santa for Christmas.  Big brother Mycroft and Sherlock.

Also fan art:  Why Sherlock chooses his hobby after retirement.

Deducing Mycroft's office.  To which I'd add; if Mycroft is anything like me, when I've been made to sit still for long periods of time, traveling or in a dentist chair for example -- I do not care to sit down.  I stand for some time instead.

This trait upsets other people who do not understand it.

Still more fan art:  A new Sherlock ship/OTP!  Well, new on me.  Maybe not for you.

Benedict doing a speech at Harrow.

Pics, posters, Cluedo, the usual things. ;)

Cumberbatched moments:  Adorable and oblivious.  Same shirt, still oblivious different pose -- nice HAT, Benedict!  Adorable but aware.  Benedict in shades, smiling.

Fan art:  The casting of Sherlock, according to Moffat poster.  Adorable Sherlock and John dolls!

The boys posing, Benedict in costume [but not in character]; Martin, hard to say!

Joe Rigg's take on what Sherlock and John say starting s3.

Sherlock Cluedo has been seen in grocery stores and Waterstones!  Lucky UK fans.

The Hobbit:  A poster of Peter Jackson's thoughts about casting Martin as Frodo.

Sherlocked images:  A moment off the rooftop scene in RF -- "One may smile, and smile, and be a villain."

The transmission schedule -- when Sherlock 3 will be shown on tv -- has not changed.  Repeat, they still believe we'll be seeing Sherlock again come fall or late 2013, depending on where you live.

And remember, the Mayans are coming... urm.  We can't let them keep us from Sherlock, so do not despair, and stock up your zombie slaying weaponry!

BC, Martin, and Sherlock art.

What with the news about Sherlock, we need to keep our spirits up!  Therefore... fandom has got to work on it.  Bless you all!

More of the Sherlock "Brothers Holmes" comics, now in the Later Years.

My favorites from the new set:  What Sherlock ALWAYS says from part 3 of 6 and 5 of 6.

But Santa Mofftiss!

Series 3 filming later in 2013.

Yes.  It's true.  Sherlock series 3 is not filming in January 2013, but has been moved to March.

Sherlockians are already on it, at least in fan art.

There was panic, grief, and anger across the Interweb during the 24-36 hours while the rumor of later filming flew across the world.

Do be patient!  Remember that our boys are famous now, and they do have other responsibilities, thanks to Sherlock.  We'll get them in The Hobbit and Star Trek.  And in Benedict's case, in a lot of other roles.

If you happen to be curious about how filming went for series 2, Sherlockology has a post about that.  A rough guess suggests that the UK would have Sherlock series 3 about six months after filming.

Martin sighting!

Some other fan art:  The adversaries in suits.  Dear Jim to Santa Claus.

Two ships and some pics.

Not really Sherlock.  But worth it.  :D  Approval poster... for this lovely advert!

A card from Mrs. Hudson, out of the Casebook.

Post-RF fan art:  Pouty Sherlock 'toon but not very spoilerly.  Lovely Believe in Sherlock poster!

Comics and fan art.

Never enough Sherlock, you know.

I found these Sherlock comics via the artist herself on Twitter t'other day.  The index is the first link.  :D

And these three (Early Years: part 3 part 5 and part 6)  are my favorites thus far -- sorry (not sorry!) to not start you off with the entire set all separately linked, but them's the breaks.

Fan art:  Sherlock carve!  Martin (John) having a row.

Cumberbatched moments:  We're celebrating...  Purple shirt (good day at work).

Benedict at Wimbleton -- a recent concert.

Fan art in the spoiler zone:  Another cartoon, for the RF feels moments, and also a chart about fans.

RP: A game of messages.

*** Inspired by a recent RP session on Twitter 18-Nov-2012. ***

Transcript of messages sent to Mycroft Holmes:

{ Email excerpt, sent to S. Moran }

Sebastian, convey my regards to SH on his timely rescue, if you'd be so kind. Well done. As always.

{ Text messages from person designated as "Ninja" to "Jim Moriarty"; respectively @ninja_CE and @IAmMoriartea }

James: Preferences regarding Chloe?

Afraid your leaving with SH gave her ideas. Such a pity.

SH arrived safely. Sebastian has coordinates, of course.

Doctor's report says no adverse reactions to tranquillizer (used in place of bullet).

His shooter may still be useful. Status presently.

Tumblr: Meta series by wellingtongoose.

Let's have some more speculation, shall we?

"Oooooh, yes!"

This is plenty of season 2 -- spoiler zone! -- mingled with season 1.  Read at your own risk.  I really enjoyed all of these, because I love details and I especially love when a professional explains things I don't know.

Thursday, November 15, 2012

You got other detectives in my Sherlock!

These examples are both from season 1, so no spoilers.

"Rachel" -- A Study in Pink

Dying clue.  Famously used and made popular by the fictional detective Ellery Queen, to have the murder victim scribble out a dying clue.  And yes, EQ used that a LOT.

Grammar police scene -- The Great Game

Nero Wolfe.  I'm sure Wolfe does this more than once; Wolfe is a particularly snarky detective, much like our Sherlock.  I just reread one of Wolfe's famous bits with a suspect, as you can see by the link.

Ideally I'd have a third "this belongs to another detective" bit here, but I haven't.  Sorry.  If I get something from future reads, I'll add that in and link back here.

I could pretend that The Blind Banker wasn't all ACD, but I'd be lying.  Everyone loves to use the secret codes... written on walls.  :D

Today is brought to you by the letter S.

Speculation, Sherlock, friendship, fan art, siblings...  (S won; I couldn't say F!)

Mostly spoiler zone territory.  Except for this drawing of Sherlock.

By the way, Benedict's  just finished filming August: Osage County according to Cumberbatchweb.

Found in LiveJournal: STUFF. :)

Mmmm, found another blogger who's going through eps, Hells-Half-Acre.

Here's Great Game, parts 1 and 2; Blind Banker; and Study in Pink parts 1, 2, and 3.  (That's the order I found them in.)  The rest of HHA's Sherlock posts are tagged here.  That includes her takes on season 2, so you are duly warned!

Anyone who ships will get lots of kicks out of the TBB post.  Trust me.

For anyone wondering, that tag includes her own fics.  :D  If you happen to be a Supernatural fan, HHA is a fan of that also (I haven't seen any Supernatural, and it's unlikely that I will).

After the break is both spoiler-territory (Scandal) and her blog post about slash.

The Game Is On and other sweets.

Mycroft pose.  Afraid this is [nearly] all spoiler zone territory.

Sunday, November 11, 2012

Mycroft Meta, a fic, and a request.

Spoiler alert:  This is ALL season 2, mixed into season 1, with no spoiler warnings inside the links themselves.

Saturday, November 10, 2012

Headcanon 2: H.O.U.N.D.

I had a combination of head canon mingled with personal experience.

Drug interactions.  :)  And Baskerville.  Season 2 discussion/spoilers!

Still not shipping...

But shipping has lots of funny posters, commenters, fan art, and so on.  Really!

TV Tropes explained to me what Ho Yay was.  Because I really didn't know.  (Note that TV Tropes DOES contain spoilers for all episodes of Sherlock; read those links at your own risk!)  They have a page just for Sherlock Ho Yay.

It is a riot.

Know Your Meme has Defensively Heterosexual John Watson.  Poor John!  No one is listening to you, are they?

Well, except for the 1 or 2 out of every 10 fans who aren't shipping!

And Now For Something...

It’s Been A Busy Week For Benedict Cumberbatch... is followed by More Busy Benedict News: He’s In The New Monty Python Film and Benedict Cumberbatch in talks to join Monty Python movie.

Dear Lord.   =amused=  Benedict really doesn't put much truck in sleep at all, does he??

One day we will tell people, "I was there when Ben was first getting famous" -- if not "I was Sherlocked early on" -- and they'll stare at us in disbelief.  He'll be known everywhere then.

As Ken says in A Fish Called Wanda:  Revenge!  =chuckle=

Fan art and future films.

Unusual shot from Great Game of John and Sherlock.  Fan art for our first glimpse of Mr. Holmes.

We are the Fandom That Waits... lyrics for 221B (Sherlockian’s Lament), on waiting for season 3.

Sherlock and John "Call Me Maybe" audio via the darling LadySolitaire83.  :)

Looking for Sherlock RP?  There's an RP forum for that.  Join, spread the word; do check it out.  :)

The Casebook; more tumblr and fan art.

Rather than fill my last post up with Final Problem -- although I love FP, that would not be a hardship! -- I figured I'd sprinkle some more of them here.

Fandom problems:  How does Sherlock even SURVIVE in the summer?!!!!  Mum's take on Sherlock.

Some Mycroft pics -- behind the scenes and a poster (not an advantage) -- and Mycroftian snark from Mofftiss.

Study in Pink, told in three pictures.

A vast amount of spoilery things.

I needed something that wasn't a spoiler here.  :D  Bless Final Problem for having it!

Shipping alert:  Sherlock's biggest pairings 'toon.

Saturday, November 3, 2012

The mysterious case of the cell number.

In Study in Pink...

John lends his phone to Sherlock.  Not the other way around.

Friday, November 2, 2012

Another round of fan vids. :)

Funny vids -- mostly.  No spoilers, all season 1.

Holding out for Sherlock uploaded by ndayoh.

I love this song, I love this vid, and I think the creator had a lot of fun with it.

This one's fun too:  Party in the CIA (Sherlock BBC) uploaded by ndayoh.

Really, you should be more than a little disturbed at how well Weird Al's song fits with Sherlock!  =grin=

Sherlock - Puttin' On The Ritz uploaded by TheSpaceBetweenUsAll.

I love this.  You think, oh no, and then it starts.  How well this song works!

Headcanon 1: This is why...

Trick or treat: fan vids!

These are all season 1.

Sherlock vs Moriarty - It's a Brand New Day uploaded by zceepy.

Ooooh, good!  ... Because you knew you wanted some more Dear Jim.  Didn't you?

Sherlock the Scientist by XOmatsujunOX.

Short vid, but very much about John's eyes -- and ours -- on SH.

Definitely will appear like Johnlock, but the creator says not.  Bless!

Sherlock Falling for the First Time by YoukoSway.

BRILL.  Of course, with BNL, how could it be otherwise?  :D

Got Sherlock??

Tonight Devil's Night is coming up... and tomorrow's Halloween.

Here's your first trick, some crossover fan art.  AKA what happens when you need Sherlock sitters... like you do (admit it, you know you do!).

So, since my greatest bad influence of late is Sherlock, here's some habits, bad or otherwise, that I've picked up from BBC Sherlock:

Monday, October 29, 2012

Puzzles in the rain.

(Another very short piece of where my mind goes.  Set after Reichenbach.  Spoiler territory if you haven't seen all of season 2, but fairly mild as spoilers go: definitely a teaser!)

Sunday, October 28, 2012

AWESOME: Heartwarming Sherlock.

This is all in spoiler land, sorry.  Just the way the source was written!

Saturday, October 27, 2012

Coat porn and other fan vids.

Dear Lord.  A Sherlockian penpal mentioned the coat porn to me just recently... and I have found it!

Thursday, October 25, 2012

Today is brought to you by the letter M.

Another pic of Una, Benedict, and Lara from Specsavers, but with Benedict smiling.

Fan art:  Grammar pedant, Sherlock Holmes.  Sad Sherlock from Blind Banker.

Calculations:  How old are Sherlock and John? (For all your fan fic and fangirling needs).

A study of fan fic, i.e., statistics.

Because I have missed Mycroftian considerations -- confess, you have also! -- here's some of them from the Mycroftian part of our fandom:

The Mystery of Sherlock's Mummy.

Danger nights.

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

Rainy... with a chance...

Rainy with a chance of Cumberbatch.

Fan art:  Sherlock Tim Burton style.  The shades, it's all about the shades.

Fans and filming August: Osage County in Oklahoma.  The Tulsa World's entire series on the film is here.

Martin Freeman: "The Hobbit is the biggest film I'll ever do".

Just the one spoilery moment from season 2's finale; see at your own risk!  One Final Act:  Reichenbach poster.

Until Halloween, you can get your questions for James Rhodes to Sherlock DE; they're interviewing James.

Crime Daggers!

Cumberbatched:  Smiling, very slightly disheveled.  Looking very very James Bond.  He is just O.o.  The lip bite.  Smooch from PBS Batch.  Nearly solemn -- what are you thinking, Benedict?

Sherlocked:  You are a genius poster.  Sherlock in museum in Blind Banker.

Benedict holding the Crime Daggers -- for Sherlock as Best Show, himself as Best Actor/Sherlock, and Martin as Best Supporting Actor/John Watson.  Well done, Team Sherlock!  Benedict making faces behind a dagger.

The highlights of the Crime Thriller Awards vid.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy also got the Film Dagger.  :)

Una, Benedict, and Lara at the Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards!  :D  Here's Benedict, Lara, Martin, and Una.

In case you're longing for series 3 even more, have a nice little discussion from the Sherlock candy blog by mkhey -- about burgling.

Monday, October 22, 2012

Holmes Boys fic: Mycroft and Sherlock.

I love this fic series over at SherlockCares.  If you read it, you'll see that the writer is very kind to me... :)

This is not slash.

It's family friendly... Anecdote:  One day at the doctor's, a little girl asked me to tell her a story -- with my head full of Sherlock, as usual! -- so I condensed #3 for her (she has littler siblings).

No spoilers as such, but ardent fans will notice shout-outs to BBC Sherlock throughout!

The Holmes Boys fic:

I'll add to this, but for when I'm not up to date, the "Holmes Boys" index link is also included above the story titles.  These are definitely Sherlock candy, my dears.  Do try it!

Pssst!  Caption of major win:  Sherlock's Binders Full of Women!!!

Friday, October 19, 2012

Short, from BC to LOTR. Plus audio candy!

From the Gent festival -- a really neato interview of Benedict.  I enjoyed it.  Hope you do also!

Benedict reading from Moby Dick, from Radio Times.

A fan's thoughts on Benedict Cumberbatch and fandom.  :D

Cumberbatched moment as Sherlock; how to waffle; advanced waffling.

A bit of LOTR art, brought to you by American politics.  (You can read the poster completely straight, mind you, but it's funnier when taken in context of 17-Oct-12.)

Cover illustration of The Hollywood Reporter:  The Hard Road to The Hobbit.  Plus a building that became a poster for The Hobbit!  Thanks to my Tweep Bell for these two!

Two charities: Team BC and Mark's birthday!

By the way, the last Palace to Palace total (that I saw) for Team BC was as follows:

Amount Raised:  £24,434.77

Benedict Cumberbatch:  £14,876.92
Team BC:  £7,115.08
Adam Ackland:  £2,442.77

That was as of 2.05 am 17-October-2012.  Well DONE!

And remember that today is Mark Gatiss's birthday!  Have you wished him happy yet?

Have you seen the birthday project for him?  Do please pass it along far and wide!

Mostly fan vids for rest of October...

It's Tweet diet time, so... fan vids.  I have lots I've been finding.

I have some thoughts about various tidbits I've noticed lately, but I may have to hold them in reserve.

Here's one:  When Sherlock fled in Blind Banker, he was reaching for John -- but either Sherlock realized John was not moving [my first guess], or, as a law-abiding military man, staying put for the oncoming cops.  Possibly both.

So Sherlock ran.  And John got the ASBO.

All season two, and therefore in the spoiler zone!

Sunday, October 14, 2012

Today Team BC does Palace to Palace!

Cumberbatched moments:  Cheltenham a week ago.  Ideal boyfriend.  Cheers to your existence.  Do it again, Ben.  Many variations on Benedict Cumberbatch, i.e., a poster of his roles.

Fan shirt -- Cumberbatch/Sherlock.

The Cake at Cheltenham:  what kind and congrats.

If you hadn't seen Benedict's response to the donations for Palace to Palace tomorrow, here it is:
Wow!!. You are all amazing! We couldn't do what we are trying to do on Sunday without this. It's an amazing amount of money to raise for incredibly worthy cause. Adam and I can't thank you enough. We're really impressed and touched as the trust will be. Your generosity is well beyond the call of duty in these cash-strapped times. Onwards and upwards with still more coming in. Thank you thank you thank you! Benedict X
As of tonight, a few hours away from the cycle ride,  here's where they stand:

Goal: £20,000
Raised: £23,616

GO US, go fandom, go Adam and Benedict -- go Team BC!!!

The video of Team BC training is here.

I expect Twitter to be busy in a few minutes, as the UK is waking up and I'm fairly certain the cycling starts in maybe a half hour.  :D  No, really.

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Later on, during a day in October.

( A continuation of a previous thought experiment involving John Watson after the Fall. Some feels, so do be warned and prepared -- and indirect spoilers! )

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Palace to Palace and Cheltenham (naturally).

Some bits from Cheltenham via This Is Gloucestershire.  A Cheltenham photo set ("Top 4 Benedict pics").

Another source of Cheltenham videos, from romangirl88, with the intro:  Benedict being insanely adorable.  (He says, "Mark's not coming??")

Cumberbuddy:  So this happened.

Lokke's tumblr is still cheering about The Cake, and rightly so... and the Tweets are now enshrined forever in tumblr; yay!!!  :D

Benedict and the hedgehog.  So that's what happened!

Radio Times has been doing various excerpts from Cheltenham, such as Benedict explaining "Why I'm not on Twitter."

Cumberbatched:  Comfortably seated.  On yer bike!  Another case of Wavy Blond Batch.  Pretty Batch, very James Bond here.

Dear people without fandoms poster.

Team BC has raised over £16,001.08; let's make sure Benedict's teammate Adam reaches his goal too!  Please support Adam!

Benedict is past his goal of £10,000 as of 9-October-2012.  The Palace to Palace cycling is 14-October.  Benedict on why the charity is important.

Trish points out that Americans can use PayPal if you're having any trouble using the webpage.

Cheltenham vids.

Cumberbatched moment:  Gorgeous profile (as Sherlock).

But everything else is Cheltenham.  :D

The autograph Olivia got from Benedict.

What did Benedict say to Loo?  This and three other Tweets, via Dearje's tumblr.

There are videos of Cheltenham:  vid 1, vid 2, vid 3.  Thanks to dearest @catpat23 for telling me about the links!

Oh, does ANYONE know where the stuffed animals were coming from at Cheltenham?  Ben seems to have been collecting quite a few, as you can see by the pictures of fans with him!

I think "Her face says it all" describes how many fans felt.

In case you were wondering (I was), this is James Rhodes himself with Benedict here.  I think their expressions win.  :D

Monday, October 8, 2012

Charity goal, NTA awards, more CheltLitFest.

Cumberbatchweb gives us their Cheltenham highlights, which includes a LOT of lovely exchanges between Loo and Benedict.  :D  Love you ladies!!!

Sky Arts is said to be handling the films of Cheltenham.  Keep your eyes on Cumberbatchweb, they'll probably know, or Sherlockology.

More about The Cake:  From blueboxandabowtie to Lokke.  The slice missing from The Cake...

Benedict walked past us.  Seeking a bucket.

Signing signing signing.  Footage of Benedict signing.  Signing the lemon.

"The scene where I'm at Buckingham Palace..."  Thanks to the Baker Street Babes and aristophrenic.

Clearly, more CheltLitFest.

Three hours of Benedict signing.  Bless him; I hope he was well fed and rested afterward!

Radio Times describes Cheltenham's Saturday Night Fever.

CheltLitFest moments:  Loo Brealey Tweets afterward.  When Cumbercrone met Benedict, part i and part ii.  (In case you missed it, what fans after her in the queue relayed.)  :D  Back to reality tomorrow.

Dearje has LOADS of Cheltenham pics and also vids.  Check out her tumblr.

Remember Cumberbuddy doing Benedict's birthday project for charity?  So does he!

Sunday, October 7, 2012

CheltLitFest highlights, a 'match, and BC's charity!

Highlights from Cheltenham, thanks to the Baker Street Babes!  Here's the Basingstoke Gazette's review of Cheltenham.

Link to support Benedict in the Palace to Palace cycle ride for charity; right now he's at 47% of support!

Cumberbatched moments:  Three men outdoors.  Beautiful Benedict in a sweater.

Both our boys:  At the Emmys, "People might talk."

Cabin Pressure on Pinterest.

Down past the spoiler zone of season 2...

Cumberbatched moments:  Fan poster of That Purple Shirt in Baskerville.  A shipping favorite in Baskerville between two friends.  Our boys and the crew filming Scandal, outside the house.

Three ways to go... the Sherlock Holmes Deathmatch!  American TV vs. BBC vs. the current movie series.

BTW, I'll be on my Tweet diet in about a week or sooner.  Expect far less Tweeting and probably less Twitter harvesting of links.

OTOH, I do have a heap of fan vids to post here.  :)  So all is not lost!

Cheltenham Lit Fest!

Today was the Cheltenham Literary Festival, with questions put to Benedict by our lovely Loo Brealey.  Which, if you hadn't heard, broke her Twitter that day Louise asked for questions.

No, really.  Here's one question from The Woman herself.  :D

The Daily Dot shows a story told by Tweets for our viewing pleasure.

So there will be many pictures.  Including:

The Cake, delivered to the Cheltenham green room!  Lokke reports on Benedict's response to The Cake.

Lovely Loo Brealey, getting ready to take the stage.  RadioTimes with their cover of Benedict on the big screen!  Benedict and Loo onstage.  Loo, with Ben cracking up.

Benedict's signature on Lokke's book.  :D

The Benedict/Sherlock cake as a Keep Calm poster.  A good [poster] idea for the Cumberlings in the queue at Cheltenham.

The travelling lemon, and what happened to it.  :D

Cumberbatched moments, Cheltenham edition:  Meeting Benedict.   Brought along to CheltenhamHarpers Bazaar.

Saturday, October 6, 2012

Later in June, another incident.

Thought experiment.  Don't read this if you haven't seen all of season 2!  This may count as a spoiler for season 3 also, but that depends on your viewpoint.

Friday, October 5, 2012

A day in October.

Typed this on my tablet.  Sorry not to have spoiler warnings, etc.  This would come after Reichenbach.

Another thought experiment!

Pics and theory; plus 2012 Guide to Sherlock events!

Never enough pics, right?  :D

Cumberbatched moments:

Brunet Batch with black tie.  Benedict discussing something with a statue (thanks to Cumberbatchweb for link).  Benedict as brunet, in more casual wear -- looking almost like circa 2008.  Smiling Benedict in front of BBC backdrop.

Blond Batch, probably from Parade's End.  Benedict "the life ruiner" Cumberbatch, from The Last Enemy.

Audio Benedict, as demonstrated in Colorado.  Also... Happy Sherlock.

Adorable:  Benedict and Martin.  Met Benedict and Martin at an Emmy party.

Sherlockology created a 2012 Guide to Sherlock events, starting with October and November.  Check to see what's happening near you!

Locations range from Cheltenham and London UK, Belgium, Seattle and Kentucky USA.  They're all listed, but not in that order...

These are diverse events, such as showings of Parade's End and Sherlock, as well as conventions, re-tellings, and two events with Mark Gatiss.

Thank you, my friends! =HUGS=

Thank you to all my friends who wished me happy birthday on Twitter over the weekend!

Jaeden -- Lokke -- Amelia -- Nika -- Meri -- Anjani -- Nikki -- Gita

and

John Klima... who in several years with EV has still not killed me.  ;D

My especial thanks for helping make this a pretty spectacular birthday!

Do PLEASE let me know if I missed anyone... I used the Search feature, which sometimes loses Tweets.  In fact, I'm nearly sure it did, but if you can search your own RTs, I do not know how.  o.O

All Cumberbatch, nearly.

Cumberbatched moments:

Chelsea's set of photos via tumblr.  A behind-the-scenes black-and-white still shot of Benedict.  Grey-eyed Benedict, looking off camera.  Who's that arguing?  The bridge t-shirts.

Sherlock in sunglasses.

Benedict filming August: Osage County.

Sherlocked and Cumberbatched photo set.  (Note: I would LOVE to know how/when someone got the ears pinned to Sherlock in TGG pic.  Just sayin'!)  Beauty is that which is simultaneously attractive and sublime.  Also here, the sadness and yet that beauty.

Playing every part in this film:  Benedict Cumberbatch poster!  Merry Christmas to us, fandom!!  Hey girl... sweater poster.

PBS has the Benedict Cumberbatch DVD collection available now.

Friday, September 28, 2012

Really a lot of Mycroft, plus SH vids and BC pics.

Cumberbatched moments:  Some gorgeous Guillambatch.  Starting SHARE sequence.  Yummy Batch photo set.

Audio Batch:  Performs reading for Friendly Fires album.

Fan art:  Mrs Hudson took my skull.  Sherlock says, Watch my bow.  Hey girl poster of Sherlock.

Have a giggle about the notorious Holmes-Watson gang.  (You thought I was making that up, admit it!)

A nice Queen fan vid, Sherlock: Don't stop me now by VernalWillow -- full of some of the most loving images of Sherlock in season 1.  Mmmm!

Which leads of course to Bohemian, I mean Sherlockian Rhapsody by lotrfan2888!

Pics, Johnlock, music, and... romance?

Cumberbatched moments:  Have a great night! solemn in black and white and if Benedict were a teacher.

If you had missed Martin's TV Tropes page, do read it.  If you hadn't seen some of the memes off tumblr, TV Tropes will guide you.  :D

Fan art:  Johnlock.  One of my very favorite bits from Sherlock to Mycroft, in Study.  Another flavor of Johnlock:  hacking!  Another Keep Calm poster.

Baskerville rewatch; Scandal next & Emmys today!

Did Baskerville rewatch until quite late -- joined by SherlockCares.  :D  I had a few breaks in there.  Twitter decided after I came back from supper that hey, no more Tweets for me!  Argh!

Then a half hour later, since I hadn't given up, Twitter surrendered.  HootSuite might even post the scheduled Tweets I tried to post around 10.40pm, who knows.  Maybe it's gone mad also.  o.O

A harvest of images and art.

Sherlocked moments in artwork -- a truly amazing bust of our Great Detective.

Cumberbatched moments: A gentleman in brown, with hat, in something called Parade's End. Looking quite fine at some awards ceremony somewhere. Spiffy, even down to sneakers.

Spoiler zone / season 2

The inner workings of Irene Adler's mind... thanks to The Whip Hand herself.

Tumblr: Sherlocked purple versus white photo set. Madness and theories.

Fan art: The three Derps.  Shipping 'toon (aka "We're not a couple"). Take my hand poster. Anderson nearby?

John as seen by Sherlock in Baskerville: Before coffee is drunk, a thought balloon.

Incident, part 2: For Gita.

This is a continuation of the previous incident.  Both are post-Reichenbach and therefore spoilers for anyone who hasn't got past the 2010 and 2012 seasons of Sherlock!

More Mycroft, and fan vids, plus NT Awards.

Words from Sherlock (one of his RP incarnations).

Mycroft says to support the Mark Gatiss fundraiser.  Vid enclosed courtesy of SherlockCares.  And you would never ever say no to Mycroft -- I mean Mark -- would you?

Poster: Mycroft's opinions on parents.

Under Pressure [BBC Sherlock Fanvid] uploaded by obj3ction.

A gorgeous song I love, fitted cleverly to season 1.  Well done!

("Slashed and torn..." wait, that describes Sherlock fandom!  Ahem.  Just plain under pressure describes us, really.)

Incident: Somewhere, a text alert...

This is what I call a thought experiment, because it's really a finger exercise more than fan fic.  Or an incident, if you like.

After Reichenbach -- but before Sherlock 2013.  Do NOT read unless you like spoilers, even minor ones, or you have seen all six episodes of Sherlock 2010-2012.

Posters, fan vids, thence Emmys.

This is what happens when you try to be good and behave. Or at least when I try to. Because then whatever I can't be doing -- Tweeting and/or blogging, apparently -- gets replaced. Temporarily.

Sherlock fan vids have et my brain!!!

So several more posts will be all or mostly YT.  Just so's you know.

With some diversions into tumblr, mostly discovered through the lovely IbelieveinMycroft tumblr. Which I do adore.

Watson's flourishing medical practice.  Poster: Names of the Holmes Brothers.

A poster for us all on this Sunday, 23-Sept., the night of the 2012 Emmy Awards!

Sherlock Music Video "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen uploaded by coughniggacough.  Which, y'know, sounds like a really good plan for Team Sherlock.  :D

Sundry matters, plus: defend the Moff!

In brief: Netflix, HuffPo on PE, images, Martin outside Sherlock, otters, and the Moff.

Cumberbatched moments: Time for bed now-- goodnight! Oh... Hello... Well, good morning! Benedict in the morning (in The Last Enemy, if I miss not my guess).

Otters hold hands.

Parade's End: Sherlock Star Benedict Cumberbatch's Curious Incident In The Night-Time, During 'Parade's End' Filming.

Fan art: Mycroft and Moriarty.

Fan moments: Quantify how much of your life has been wrecked by Benedict Cumberbatch (visual aid). When John is prescribed painkillers poster. When every fangirl shrieked. ;)

Many more fan vids.

Cumberbatched moments: Adorable Benedict.  Young Ben.  Benedict lounging on the couch (mmm!).

Dear Sherlock fandom:  Things could be worse; we could have this problem.

Alone on the Water → Sherlock + John - ♪ 'Sorrow' uploaded by beadedstar.

If you haven't read Alone, the most famous of recent Sherlock fan fic, you'll want to read it first. Statistically probable result: You will cry.  Possibly as much or more than from seeing Reichenbach.

Sweet Dreams - Sherlock by MsSusanPevensie.  Heh!  All season 1; note that this links to the others for season 2, using same song.

Mark Gatiss b-day project, Mycroft, and just 2 fan vids.

Cumberbatched moments: That lovely blond guy in Parade's End, while in uniform. Then out of uniform. Favourite Benedict photoshoot. Benedict in black and white.  Curl Batch matching Mark's curl: O Holmes brothers!

About Mycroft's umbrella.  A poster of Sherlock, the Doctor, and Mycroft's umbrella.

As promised, the link to the Mark Gatiss birthday project.  His birthday's 17-October.  Help our Mycroft celebrate in style, do!

Mostly another YT special: fan vids.

Cumberbatched moments: Peter in TTSS. PBS Batch is good for the soul.

Found via Cracked.com's Internet Annoyances Way Older Than the InternetThe Ten Commandments of mystery, written as bylaws of the Detection Club.

YT!  Hmm, seems to be a lot of shipping in these fan vids.  Can't imagine why!  ("Sarcasm." "Yes.")

Emmys; rewatch; a message to John?

Note that this is after Reichenbach: do NOT read unless you've seen all of both seasons!

GPS... and rewatching in past and future.

Cumberbatched moments: (Oh, look at that smile!) ... with tea cups along with never been so jealous. In Third Star. "Staring isn't polite."

The lemon is in play.

If Benedict Cumberbatch voiced GPS.

Those things.  [Dead link as of 2013]

Psssst!  Benedict's in this.  Although link does not mention him, the comments do. :D

We successfully did a rewatch of Study in Pink, Jaeden and SherlockCares and I, Monday evening (10-Sept.).  Only took two hours, amazingly enough!  Lots of fun.

Next rewatch is planned for Emmy night, 23-Sept-2012.

Sherlock is up for 13 Emmy nominations (against Downton Abbey's 14!).  I suspect we'll do Scandal, which is what the Beeb offered the Emmy people.  We'll update on Twitter.

Closing ceremonies. Also: Do not hate the Moff!

Cumberbatched moments:  Completely irresistible person; smiling Benedict (looking tired, alas); and LeathaaarrrrBatch.

Fangirl moments:  This picture tonight and also that pic, and another pic from closing ceremony, along with an Instagram of "our very own Sherlock Holmes".  :D

For fans of Martin and Benedict:  Bland Sherlock fantasies.

NO ONE is allowed to hate the Moff this week.  Hell, for the rest of the decade.  He deleted his Twitter account because of the haters.  (Possibly for another reason, but that seems very probably why.)  What the hell is wrong with people?

Leave the show creators alone, we need them to torture us more because we love their shows.

Do you hear me, InterWeb???  I'm serious.

Remember, we're doing our Sherlock rewatch tonight, Monday 10-Sept around 9pm Eastern.  Details here:  Study in Pink!

Monday rewatch and fic index.

We're planning on a Sherlock rewatch this weekend, either tonight [Friday 7-Sept.] or tomorrow Monday 10-Sept.

Probably in the evening my time, say 9pm EDT. I'm in GMT -4.

Check out the time zone map to coordinate with us. :D It'll likely be in s1, ep to be determined by Kelsey, whose birthday was Friday -- or we'll just do first season in her honor if school and life prohibits her from joining in.

Cumberbatched moments:  Gorgeous!  Love black and white photograph.  That guy from Parade's End, what's his name again?  :D

And in case you weren't abed yet either, Benedict has a message for you.

Spoilers inside for Sherlock season/series 2 and Parade's End!

If you haven't read the Sherlock fic (older fic, newer fic) over at SherlockCares, then you should.  Most of them are spoiler-free.

My very favorites are the Holmes Boys stories.  Do note that five Holmes Boys stories exist... and that there's at least one post-Reichenbach story (the Dog from July, NOT the Hound) that is nearly guaranteed to cause you major Reichenbach angst.

You have been warned!

Fangirls... Image from PE.

Brief harvest and a rewatch this weekend.

Cumberbatched moments:  Benedict with his hair rather... poofy (how is it that he looks great anyway??). Balancing a chandelier.  More Blond Batch.

London should be flailing. Benedict Cumberbatch Scale of Eloquence.

Another way to tell you're Sherlocked.  ;)

After this point: Spoilers for season/series 2.

In the spoiler zone:  Hobbit tutorial -- fan art of Sherlock merged with JRR Tolkien. Of course.  :D

One Believe in Sherlock image that I'm quite fond of (and purchased) that I handed off to John Watson tonight.

Swift harvest off Twitter; includes Dr Who at BBC mobile.

I don't think any spoilers are in here, but you might want to watch out with the PE (Parade's End) interview and The Hobbit links.  And yes, I missed blogging here, and I missed you all on Twitter a lot, even though Worldcon was all sorts of brilliant and awesome and wondrous.

Cumberbatch moments:  Errant curlA bit of rare UK sun.  Isn't he gorgeousSensuality that killsPerfect faceSoulful stare.  Laughing and looking away from camera.

A poster about... men.

P.S.  We're considering a Sherlock rewatch for this weekend.  Watch Twitter!  It'd be series 1.

ETA:  Neil Gaiman won the Hugo for his Doctor Who ep "The Doctor's Wife" this past Sunday.  Make sure to send Neil congrats!  He's @neilhimself on Twitter.  I told him Congrats! myself when I saw him, but do go ahead and tell him yourself.  Neil's a sweetie, and he deserves to hear more people tell him "Well done!"

Three BC films and the Sherlock Masterclass.

Oh, since I was looking these up anyway, here's some fast links.  :)  Then I'm off the blog til next month/next week!  Really -- not kidding!  Any spoilers in the Masterclass are at your own risk, I didn't watch the video yet.

BC film on BitTorrent:  The Last Enemy.  Here's a search if that link doesn't help.

I just finished watching it, and I recommend The Last Enemy highly:  tense, gripping, steamy, fast-paced, and made me cry.  I also nearly threw something at TV after ep 3 ended, so you may want to watch yours quicker; I was rationing myself to one per day, but watched eps 4 and 5 today.  Wow!!!

ExPat has Parade's End; see link for details.

Cumberbatched moments:  Christopher Tietjens photoset

Benedict Cumberbatch and Gary Oldman behind the scenes of TTSS.

Video from the Sherlock Masterclass -- including Mofftiss and Andrew Scott -- via SherlockCares.  :)

Fan vid recs, some Reichenbach Support Group, and BC pics.

Miscellaneous Benedict pics -- Benedict in uniform in Parade's EndHawking screen shots

Cumberbatch moment:  Goodnight, all.  Plus:  My Sherlock sticker display.  :D

All my recs for fan vids are in the spoiler zone...

Except this one:  BBC's Sherlock - "Hot and Cold" by chavivi86.  Definitely a vid my shipper friends will really like.  (I did.)  Alert:  Some swearing, and either it's Johnlock or Sherolly, could go either way.

Successful Reichenbach rewatch!

Today I rewatched Reichenbach with my friends @sherfanlok and @JaedenDoran.  We had a blast!

Went from 2.05pm through 4.05pm EDT.

And begorrah, we got through the entire episode!!!  That's almost a miracle.  Every previous time I've done a Sherlock rewatch and Live Tweeted it, it's taken about 3 hrs for half an ep.

Beware:  SPOILERS for Reichenbach!   One quote in this post has spoilers; otherwise, the only spoilers are inside the music fan vid.

Various watchers chimed in, but I didn't catch up with Nika or Nikki until after I finished watching.  (There IS the Reichenbach crack music video over at SherlockCares for those with feels!)

I was watching/listening but busy Tweeting -- so I backed up a few bits, making me the slowest rewatcher!

Thanks everyone who watched and enjoyed, and for all the RTs, along with the RTs from @FabBakerStBoys and @Gengenbach_RT.  :D  Therein be more spoilers/quotes, trust me.

Speculation, astronomy, fandom and Expat for PE.

Mark Gatiss on Sherlock Holmes and John Watson... like a distant star.

If you seek Parade's End, here's Expat

Fangirl problems poster.

-- I don't agree with that poster, which is very funny, but then I don't care what Sherlock thinks about me; am more interested in what he does and says.  And how he'll fix things next season.

About fandom:  We never really forget

Screen lock.  Brilliant!  :D

After this point: Spoilers for season/series 2 AND season/series 3.

Believe in Sherlock is everywhere... look!  I love our fandom! He's our Sherlock.

Four times... and Reichenbach.  A funny pic, playing off Reichenbach.

Season/series 3:  More speculation on The Three Words from Radio TimesSpeculation Tweeted to Moffat.

Sherlock - Behind the Scenes: Vatican Cameos...

Wow.  Still haven't put up the half-dozen YT fan vids I found yet.  Sorry!  Was on my tablet, haven't got the hang of it pasting links.  :c  Yet.

Season 3, fan fic, and August's CumberbatchDay.

Hell week is nearly over!  I am reinstalling Stuff on my PC now.  As I shouted on Twitter last night...

Items of interest:

The Big Issue (Cumberbatch:  The Lonely Detective).  Transcript of same!

Interview: Benedict Cumberbatch for 'Parade's End'.

Today I was alerted that #4 Constantly was up -- another Holmes Boys fan fic story from SherlockCares

Plus, some fun captions:  Sorry you missed the bachelor party and It's just John Watson's...  Beware the Johnlock in case you weren't expecting it!  :D

More fic:  A shoutout to the alert Cumberbabes everywhere, and why you ought not to ask about Twitter followers.  ;)  Sherlock hot line now available

After this point: Spoilers for season/series 2 AND season/series 3.

(This may be a spoiler, but as my PC's not fully updated, I can't be sure; sorry!)  Pursuit by the Sherlock Fan Orchestra

Season THREE spoilers:  The Three Key Words for Sherlock 2013.  Gatiss [teasing?] and possible airdate and hints against the Words.  :D

Hell week after the weekend.

Meant to post this 19-August, or perhaps the next day.  On 20-August, the Internet ceased to work on my primary machine.  Have spent every day all week trying to locate and fix problem[s].

Looks like it's a Trojan-spy that McAfee failed to notice.  Or that happens to be only half of the problem; hard to say.

So posting here will be erratic.  I have some YT Sherlock fan vids to post; hoping to add them in presently.  No promises, as I have a LOT of work to do, and having lost 'Net on my work machine has deeply gacked up my week.

On Tuesday next Monday, 27-Aug, I'm planning to do a Reichenbach rewatch.  (I'll be on Twitter, so check there for updates.)  It'll probably be during my afternoon, so no earlier than 12 noon EDT, but more likely 1 or 2pm EDT.

From 30-Aug. through 3-Sept., I'll be offline at Worldcon -- and maybe just on Twitter, depending on wifi access.

It’s no good, Benedict Cumberbatch can’t stop us liking him.

Cumberbatch: I worry for my fansReply by Sarah Lynn

Silly season, or Benedict Cumberbatch:  Naturally he's a class act.  If nothing else, read for the "A half-hearted sigh about being castigated for complaining about only getting posh roles, and what sounds like an end-of-interview joke."

And someone decided that they'd cover (i.e., Photoshop) a pictorial answer to the whole kerfluffle.
