Tuesday, 6-Jan-2015, Team Sherlock will begin filming the Sherlock special.

Not much have news on this, barring the brief piece at KPopStarz yesterday.  I suspect tumblr and Twitter have lots of speculation, however.

Ben's GQ is sold out.  Apparently Benedict won their award or something, and you know how that makes magazines vanish.  Of course, his drunken acceptance speech on tumblr has already made fandom very happy.

Don't worry, they'll make more GQ just for us.

Vanity Fair, bless 'em, took his speech in stride.  Don't you love finding fellow Cumberfans?

Sherlock: Meet The Filmmakers.

Applelock, er... the Sherlock 'Meet The Filmmakers' event at the London Apple Store today.  So just expect S3 spoilers in practically everything here, 'k?

Amazingly, I found very few links that had no spoilers at all.

Except that the one is the 2013 Sherlock 'Meet The Filmmakers' and not today's.  That's just Steven and Sue.

Sue Vertue has requested that everyone who saw the premiere of s3 ep1 not spoil TEH for anyone else.  Can we do that??

Please, do remember not all fans get to see s3 at the same moment!

Today was a tiny handful of fans.  1-January-2014 is when the UK and any nearby countries who can watch BBC One see TEH.

19-January-2014 will be when the USA airs Sherlock s3 ep1 on PBS.

I don't know when YOU get to see s3.  Amazon tells me that I can't have the DVDs until February 2014, so I'll be rushing home Sunday night on 19-January!

So... consider your fellow fans.  Mark your spoilers with warning labels; obscure spoilers, tag them, hide them inside links if at all possible.  PLEASE.

Because we're all waiting for these guys.

Final Problem also notes that although Ben WANTS the States to get Sherlock simultaneously as the UK, it is not within his power.  See the May 2012 (!) Masterpiece video itself.  It's 47 minutes long, so settle in with a beverage and some snacks.

BBC One trailer.

The BBC One British drama trailer aired today, 1-Sept-13.  Note that it is a medley of shows, not just BBC Sherlock.  Distracting!

I'm sure fandom has been madly creating screen caps.  When I find 'em, I'll update in a later post.  :D  Radio Times mentions one snippet of dialog.

Sherlockology has a great update about the wrap of filming s3.  Post-production time!  All s3 filming is now over; if you want setlock, it should be all over tumblr, Twitter, and elsewhere.

As Sherlockology also reminds us, still no air dates for s3 yet.

ETA:  Updated air date news, short version Sue says NOT November.  Just not.  Yes, this post's from 20-May-2013, but again, Sue's the producer, and she would know.  Thanks to Final Problem for this info!

PSA: There is no s3 airdate... YET.

Until it's announced by Sue, or the Beeb, or Mark Gatiss... PLEASE do not go spreading any so-called airdates.

If you don't ask Sue or Mark, go check with Baker Street Bakes (tumblr or Twitter) or Sherlockology (website or Twitter).  Either group would know if Sue, Mark, or the BBC has said anything.  Really they would.

I know we all want Sherlock s3 yesterday.  Or even the day before.  But please... give Team Sherlock time.  They have to finish everything!  Production takes more time than just filming.

Turn your energies to converting more people to Sherlock.  Thank you, fellow Sherlockians.  Just remember we are all waiting... together!
